Above two pictures of the same bureau taken before and after restoration. In the left picture (before) the bureau looks quite dull and lifeless, quite a lot of wear and tear can be seen on all it’s surfaces, the fading over time has all but hidden some of the wonderful markings of the Walnut veneer, the drawer handles too were dull. In the right picture (after) the true beauty of the bureau comes to life. A complete strip and re-polish was undertaken, some very minor repairs were also done. The vibrant grain of the wood can now be seen in all it’s glory. Major work of this nature would cost in the region of £150.00.

Above, two views of the same clock, on the left as it was when it came in for restoration, on the right as it was when the restoration was complete. Chris Bridges of Bridges Horologists, Ardross, Alness, Ross-shire, carried out all the restoration to the clock movement, face, dial etc, we carried out all the repairs and restoration to the clock case. Left, an American wall clock, This clock is probably circa 1880. It came to us in rather poor condition, including some missing parts, but mainly a time weathered look, i.e. very pale and bleached with uv light. A full strip and re-polish was undertaken along with making the new parts, the finished result was a rather splendid example of this period clock. We did all the clock case restoration.
The clock came to us through Chris Bridges of Bridges Horologists, who carried out the restoration of all the clock movement, face, dial, etc.
