HOME GROWN TIMBER

Text Box: We stock a wide selection of mainly home grown hardwoods. Most of which are sourced from wind blown timber. Usually in stock are elm, oak, ash, beech, sycamore, birch, alder, lime, maple, and walnut (native). We have also more unusual woods in stock from time to time, such as yew, laburnum, willow, poplar, eucalyptus, holly, apple cherry and rhododendron.

Above is the mobile mill, we use a local miller for most of our timber requirements, seen here using the wood mizer to cut a Douglas Fir log , we purchased from the Forestry locally.

Above is a stack of recently cut timber stacked and stickered for air drying, we allow one year for every inch in thickness, after that time it’s then moved indoors.
