We arrived with no experience of wood-turning but, with expert guidance and assistance from Alec, we created a beautiful bowl from locally sourced Birch. A rewarding experience, and a lasting reminder of our trip to Ullapool.

The village of Ullapool, our nearest place of any size, lies at the head of Loch Broom, looking out to the Summer Isles. Ullapool is the main ferry port for the Islands, with daily sailings to Stornoway on Lewis. Also runs pleasure trips out round the Summer Isles, nature watching for seals, whales and ofcourse lots of sea birds, during the summer season. |
